Good News! …and Some Bad News, Too…

Hey guys! So I have some new and exciting news for you! Japesland Sheets’ saxophone transcriptions are now available on the anime sheet music super-site, Ichigo’s Sheet Music! Ichigo’s is a wonderful resource for people desiring sheet music from anime and video games on a range of instruments, and because of its size and its array of volunteer transcribers, they’re constantly adding more to the their library. Check it out!

Unfortunately, this exciting news comes with some sadder information attached. In fact, the very reason I reached out to Ichigo’s in order to have my collection hosted is because Japesland Sheets will soon be discontinued. Due to massive life changes, I no longer have the time nor the setup to continue transcribing music like I have in the past. So here in the next few weeks, expect to see the sheet music hosting pages on this site to disappear, with a prompt for people to begin looking at Ichigo’s for saxophone transcriptions.

Don’t worry, my YouTube channel isn’t going anywhere! While I can’t guarantee my next update, and my uploads may be pretty sporadic from now on, I’ve grown to love and feel attached to the community that has followed me on YouTube. Also, the staff at Ichigo’s were nice enough to include links to my YouTube videos on the sheets I donated!

So thanks to everyone who has supported Japesland Sheets over the years. I hope you’ll be able to continue to enjoy playing with the music over at Ichigo’s!

KEY Anthology Updated… In Lossless Format!

It’s finally here! Due to popular demand, I’ve finally remastered The KEY Anthology Saxophone Collection in a lossless format!

The album is still hosted on the same page as always (check it out here), but the download links have been replaced and added to in order to reflect the additions. In addition to offering AIFF lossless, MP3 320 bitrate, and AAC 256 bitrate, I’ve always subtly altered a few of the tracks in the remastering process to improve the songs to the quality I had originally intended. The edits are so small that you’re unlikely to notice, however.

Anyway, thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy the updated version!~

Two Updated Sheets

Long time no see, everyone! Sorry I’ve been so absent, lately… I started up this blog and my YouTube as a side project when I used to have plenty of free time for my hobbies, but that free time has been disappearing lately. Unfortunate as it is, life goes on.

In any case, by popular demand I have added the opening theme from Tokyo Ghoul, Unravel. Check it out on the anime sheets page.

By less popular demand (in fact nobody has asked for it) I’ve added an older, yet still popular, Japanese pop song entitled Ii Hi Tabidachi to the other sheets page.

Enjoy! (b’.’)b

(By the way, I did record both of these, but I just couldn’t get the sound to my satisfaction, so I ended up not creating YouTube videos for them… sorry!)

Death Parade OP Sheets

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the radio silence! It’s been a crazy couple of months, and the next few months don’t appear to be any less crazy. The Key Anthology took much of the time I had dedicated to saxophone covers, so I haven’t had a chance to do any updates for a while. It is currently spring break, so I’ve had a LITTLE bit a breathing room, so I decided to work on one of my favorite songs this season: Flyers from Death Parade.

I’ve uploaded the sheets, which you can check out here:

Unfortunately, the cover I recorded did not turn out too well, and I’m not sure if I will have a chance to re-record it, so I only have the sheet music to give you this time around (sorry!).

Thanks for reading!

I Want to Get to Know YOU!!

I’d love to be able to get in touch with more of you!

Hello followers! (That sounds a little ominous out of context, doesn’t it…)

Taking an indirect cue from Charles and his approach to social media, I’ve decided to try to do a better job of integrating all my accounts. As of right now, I’ve had the fortune of reserving my normal handle, “Japesland”, for nearly every social media site or other online account I own. With that said, it is usually quite easy to find me either through a quick Google search, or by checking the available links on one of my accounts (such as this blog’s About page).
